The Collectors Book Book 2018 hardcover coffee table book is an ideal opportunity to get your art seen in many countries reaching a substantial, and sophisticated audience. Among other the book will be distributed at museums, international art fairs, galleries, also through Amazon, and book shops around the world.
Please note that the reviewing and selection process takes time. Allow 2-3 days for a response.
Submission of your application does not automatically confer the right of publish to The Collectors Book Book 2018. Decisions on admission are made exclusively by the Middle East Art Collectors Association Selection Committee. Selecting participants in accordance with the criteria of quality and suitability for The Collectors Book Book 2018 concept. Please note that the number of published artists is limited. Being rejected does not always mean that your art is not good enough, but that spaces are limited, and the current demand is high.
At least 50% payment needs to be made within 14 days of acceptance letter email. The final amount needs to be made by November 2017. No VAT will be charged. Booking costs come with 5.5% transaction fee.
Publishing date of the book will be Feb/March 2018.

Do not submit application if you are unable to participate in the The Collectors Book Book 2018. By ticking the I AGREE box in the application form you are in a legal binding agreement with the organisers The Middle East Art Collectors Association Read all Terms & Conditions before applying including cancellation policy in T&C clause 16. (scroll down).
Design starts 15th November. All material needs to be submitted before this date. Material arriving after this date may not be included. A first proof will be shown in December/January. All featured artists are allowed 1 round of changes. No feedback within 48 hours of the proof received, will be assumed as no changes needed.
1. BENEFITS TO ARTIST
Accepted applicants will be featured in the "The Collectors Book Book 2018" published Feb/March time in 2018 - an ideal opportunity to get your art seen in many countries reaching a substantial, and sophisticated audience. Among other the book will be distributed at museums, international art fairs, galleries, also through Amazon, and book shops around the world, which will help promote the Artist's artwork efficiently to a vast public. Costs are low in comparison with other marketing efforts. It is distributed internationally and without any cost to major galleries and museums. It will make you more accessible to potential buyers.

5. PRESENCE IN ART BOOK
If selected you will be allocated the pages you signed up for choosing between:
* Single Page | 2 artworks maximum + 500 word statement : $ 850.00
Double Page | 4 artworks maximum + 500 word statement : $ 1500.00
Four Pages | 8 artworks maximum + 500 word statement : $ 2500.00
The pages will include text supplied by you of no more than 150 words. It will also include your website and/or contact details. Entries will be in alphabetical order using the artist’s first name.

PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED BY:
PAYPAL, VISA, MASTERCARD (5.5% fee transaction fee will be charged extra)
or if paid by BANK TRANSFER ($35 USD extra will be charged).
No VAT/Tax is charged extra.
6. HOW TO APPLY
Please apply online and if no website for review please email 2 images for review. You will hear if you are selected within 2-4 working days.
Once selected you will be emailed an acceptance email, listing your booking, you will then also receive a request for you to submit your text and artworks to supply us, original works of art along with technical details (title, size, medium and year). Images should either be in .TIFF .PDF .ZIP or .JPG format 300dpi with a minimum size of A4.
You will receive a PDF proof for your final approval before printing. (Max 1 round of changes are allowed and needed within 48hrs of proof received.)
You may request paying in instalments by email to email@example.com The remaining 50% may be paid up till the deadline of 12th November 2017.
The participation fee includes one copy of the book including postage costs. Further copies of the book will be charged extra.
7. HOW TO PAY
Paypal, VISA, Mastercard (5.5% fee transaction fee will be charged extra) or if paid by Bank Transfer ($25 USD extra will be charged).
Artists need to be 18 years or over. They need have a well-established Artist background and have a track record of Artworks sold. All artworks must have been created by the submitting artists. The submitting artist must have legal ownership and must be the sole owner of the copyright for all images and texts to be included. Artists will have full copyright of their works, which cannot be copied, reproduced, etc. without their permission. However The Middle East Art Collector Association will use the artworks in the book, and might use for marketing purposes.
9. SUPPLYING ARTWORKS AND TEXT
Before 1st November 2017. You will receive a form to submit all artworks and a reminder in case you haven't supplied before the deadline. Please do not expect any further communication from us until we are ready to show you the PDF proof before going to print. Images need to high resolution 300dpi in either TIFF, PDF, ZIP, or JPG format and at least A4 size. Images supplied not according to these standards will result in low quality images in the book.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
By submitting application information, checking the “I Agree” checkbox at the time of submitting and/or executing this agreement, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement (as amended from time to time by MACA DMCC in their sole and absolute discretion). if you do not wish to be bound by this agreement, do not indicate your acceptance and do not apply for "Art Collectors Book". By continuing and applying for "Art Collectors Book" created by The Middle East Art Collectors Association following a change to this agreement, you are accepting and agreeing to the change.
Once submitted application, and ticking the "I Agree" checkbox you are committed to a legally binding agreement with The Middle East Art Collectors Association and agree to the terms laid out in this contract in regards to "Art Collectors Book 2017".
This is an agreement between you (the Artist) and The Middle East Art Collectors Association (the Company), by which we (MACA DMCC) carry out all the arrangements related to this contract on the following terms:
In these Membership Terms:
'ACB' means the book 'Art Collectors Book'
'MEACA' means the company 'The Middle East Art Collectors Association'.
2. Featured Artist.
The submitting Artist need to be 18 years or over. They need have a well-established Artist background and have a track record of Artworks sold. All artworks must have been created by the submitting artists. The submitting artist must have legal ownership and must be the sole owner of the copyright for all images and texts to be included. Artists will have full copyright of their works, which cannot be copied, reproduced, etc. without their permission. MEACA is not obliged to give reasons for any decision it makes to reject your request to become a featured Artist in ACB. Your payment is non-refundable. You acknowledge and agree that you are liable for, and will indemnify MEACA, its related bodies corporate, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees against, any and all claims made by a third party arising out of your access to, and use of, the benefits as a featured Artist. Once PDF is approved you approve the design and layout of your featured space. No further changes can be made after approval. One round of amends is included. No further amends can be given.
2.1 Booking, Payments and Cancellation.
To appear in the curated "Art Collectors Book" please submit the application form for review.
Please note there is a selection process.
When accepted 50% of your booking will need to be deposited with 14 days of the acceptance letter date - you will receive this by email.
The final amount will need to be paid before November 2017. You will receive a reminder with a payment link to process this payment.
Publishing date of the book will be Feb/March 2018.
Payments made by the selected featured artists are non-refundable.
Cancellations after being selected and (part)payments have been made will not be entitled for a refund.
3. Fees and Services
Fees range from $ 850 USD to $ 2500 USD plus extra books for shipping if ordered extra. Once you have been accepted and paid you are in a legal contract with MEACA. Prices are in USD dollars.
5. Copyright & Trademark Claims
MEACA respects the intellectual property rights of others. MEACA requires that you do the same. You give the rights for GAA to use imagery of your artworks and profile for marketing and communication purposes to promote your artwork and the ACB. Full credits are giving to the artist, wherever possible or suitable.
6. Confidential Information and Privacy
GAA does not warrant or represent that your use of the features will be confidential.
7. Indemnification and Release
You are solely responsible (and agree that MEACA has no responsibility to you or to any third party for) for, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MEACA (as well as MEACA’s affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents) from any and all claims, liabilities, costs and expenses (including legal fees) arising in any way. We have made sure that we are using the best printer producing a high quality outstanding and unique book. You can not hold MEACA or third party liable if you are not satisfied by the outcome of the book, in terms of all and not limited to, technical aspects, imagery used, design, layout, text, publishing, promotions, quality, publishing, marketing, quantity and/or other matters that has to do with the offerings of MEACA. No further dispute is possible.
7.1. Images, pictures and other material showing a sample of the book on the website or marketing material, online and offline may not reflect the produced book, due this is a sample of how the book may look like. MEACA or third party cannot be held liable for if you are unsatisfied with this or anything that might relate to this.
7.2 Sizes, design and lay-out of the book may be different from each different platform, such as online purchases through Amazon, or eBook may be different than final proof shown for approval to the featured artist, however text and images should remain the same.
7.3 If we do not receive payment in full before 10th November 2017 we may exclude you from the book. Design starts 15th November 2017. All material needs to be submitted before this date. Material arriving after this date may not be included. A first proof will be shown in December 2017. All featured artists are allowed 1 round of changes. No feedback within 48hrs of the proof, will be assumed as no changes needed.
7.4 Book specifications might change and be different from website information however text and images should remain the same wherever possible. MEACA cannot be held liable for such changes, if they may occur.
8. Relationship between the Parties
Nothing in these Terms:
constitutes a partnership between the parties; and
except as expressly provided, makes their party an agent of another party for any purpose.
A party cannot in anyway or for any purpose:
bind another party; or
contract in the name of another party.
If a party must fullfil an obligation and that party is dependent on another party, then that other party must do each thing reasonably within its power to assist the other in the performance of that obligation.
9. Suspension or Termination
MEACA may suspend or terminate your registration as a Featured Artist and deny you access to the ACB promotions immediately if:
you breach these terms or any other terms and conditions, agreements or rules.
10. RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES
Nothing in this agreement or on our website shall confer on any third party any benefit under the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
11. OUR SITE CHANGES REGULARLY
We aim to update our site regularly, and may change the content at any time. If the need arises, we may suspend access to our site, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on our site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update such material.
12. INFORMATION ABOUT YOU AND YOUR VISITS TO OUR SITE
13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any contract between you and us, then you agree to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions and any contract included shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes regarding them shall be determined by the English courts.
16. CANCELLATION POLICY
All payments made by successful applicants are non-refundable.
In the case of cancellation before making the second payment (after the deposit) the following rules apply:
Cancellations need to be submitted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org If you fail to communicate your cancellation you will be invoiced at the full amount.
Immediate legal proceedings may be issued against you without further notice if failed to do notify us from cancellations and payments involved, and may be excluded from the Book. After payment has been received from the successful applicant no refunds will be given. If the payment is not received in full before the printing, we may exclude you from the future opportunities and blacklist you from other events, promotions and/or services by our organisation and partners opportunities. Cancellations after payments will not be entitled for a refund no matter what the circumstances. All payments made by the successful and selected applicant are non-refundable no matter the circumstances.
